Spend the day exploring Puerto Rico’s beautiful south coast on this full-day La Parguera snorkeling and bioluminescent bay tour. We travel from Rincón to the small fishing village of La Parguera, where a private boat takes us out to snorkel the outer reef (conditions permitting), home to colorful tropical fish and vibrant marine life. From there, we head into the mangrove islands to snorkel calm, shallow waters surrounded by this unique coastal ecosystem. As the sun begins to set, we’ll stop on a remote mangrove island for a sunset dinner. After dark, the adventure continues with a swim in La Parguera’s bioluminescent bay, where the water glows around you under the stars.

Our most popular eco tour! Located just over an hour south of Rincón, La Parguera is home to protected mangrove islands and one of Puerto Rico’s bioluminescent bays. After a short 20-minute boat ride, we reach the “big bay,” where you’ll jump into the warm Caribbean water and watch it glow around you. The light comes from microscopic organisms called dinoflagellates, which sparkle and illuminate when the water is disturbed, creating a truly unforgettable natural light show. The glow is brightest on dark, moonless nights, but the experience is visible year-round. If your group doesn’t meet the 4-person minimum, reach out — we can often combine smaller groups.

If you’re looking to explore the island beyond Rincón, our Waterfall Tours are the perfect way to experience Puerto Rico’s lush interior! The San Sebastián Waterfalls are just a 45-minute drive from Rincón and are super easy to access — only about a 5-minute walk from where we park to the first waterfall.
